Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Cobble ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Cobble mobile application ("the App").
1. Information We Collect
- Wallet Addresses: Your Solana wallet public key is collected when you connect a wallet. This is used to identify your account, process wagers, and settle on-chain transactions.
- Game Scores & Match History: We record match results, scores, words found, and wager outcomes for leaderboards, dispute resolution, and platform integrity.
- Display Name & Avatar: Your chosen profile information is stored to personalize your experience.
- Swipe Telemetry (Anonymized): During wagered matches, anonymized touch interaction patterns are collected for anti-cheat verification to ensure fair play. This data is not linked to your identity.
2. How Data Is Stored
- On-Device: Game settings, preferences, and wallet credentials are stored encrypted on your device using expo-secure-store. This data never leaves your device unless you participate in wagered games.
- Server-Side: For wagered games, match results, wager records, and player profiles are stored in a PostgreSQL database on our servers. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Blockchain: Wager transactions are recorded on the Solana blockchain and are publicly visible by nature of the blockchain.
3. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Period.
4. Data Retention
- Game History: Match results and leaderboard data are kept indefinitely to maintain historical leaderboards and provide dispute resolution records.
- Swipe Telemetry: Anonymized anti-cheat data is retained during the beta period for model training and analysis, then permanently deleted.
- Account Data: If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate dispute resolution.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of your personal data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential data collection

6. Cookies
Cobble is a mobile application and does not use browser cookies. No tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or similar technologies are employed.
7. Third-Party Services
- Privy: We use Privy for wallet authentication and embedded wallet creation. Privy's privacy policy governs their handling of authentication data. Visit privy.io/privacy for details.
- Solana Blockchain: Wager transactions are processed on the Solana blockchain. All blockchain transactions are public and immutable by design.
8. Children's Privacy
Cobble is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify users of material changes through the App.
